Indira is so passionate about protecting the planet, the company is 90% plastic free, and all items are packaged in environmentally-friendly, biodegradable materials. Customers are also encouraged to reuse jars and bottles where possible.
Indira adds: “Our true love of people and the planet motivates us to remain skin friendly and eco from product to packaging. Simplicity is also a cornerstone of our brand. Our mission is, and always will be, to protect both the planet and our beloved clients from the torrent of harmful chemicals found in most commercial products.”
The COVID-19 health crisis has brought up new challenges for every business but bahamaSpa™ has adapted by launching a subscription box service and a line of products for the home. One of the company’s current best sellers is a hair care product that was launched in the middle of the coronavirus lockdown. Good&Kinky Hair™, which includes a hair treatment called Avocado BOOST™, was test marketed for two years and has had rave reviews.
Meanwhile, Indira reveals that she is currently in London “working diligently to secure factory facilities, partners and source supplies”. She adds: “We are using this period while our primary market, The Bahamas, is closed due to the pandemic, to grow internationally. Our plan is expansion into the UK and then onto European markets – Germany, France, Italy – where we have the most positive feedback and requests for reorders.
